Each year, ASCE hosts a reception for the North Carolina Legislature to showcase civil engineering and infrastructure projects throughout the state. This unique event is a great chance to represent your company or school and the profession. This year's event is on May 10th in the evening from 6 - 7:30pm, with volunteers arriving between 5 - 6pm.  The event will be held in downtown Raleigh at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences. ASCE is looking for people to volunteer as greeters and hosts, and also to represent project(s) from their company / school (either a poster or tabletop display).
 
If you would like to meet and network with other engineers from all over the state, as well as our elected officials, this is a great opportunity. Those that are interested in the government aspects of civil engineering projects will want to consider being a part.
