Details: Join us for a group hike at Umstead Park! We plan on taking either the Sal’s Branch Loop (easy 2.5-mile loop) or Pott’s Branch Trail (easy 1.3-mile loop). A light breakfast will be provided before we start. Bring water, comfortable shoes, and dress for the weather.

Event: Come out and join us for our annual winter social and Toys for Tots drive! We will be having a social at the outdoor ice-skating rink at Fenton in Cary, NC to collect toy donations and hang out. Ice-skating tickets will be provided to those who sign up by November 29th Wednesday, December 3, 2025.

Date: Sunday, December 7, 2025. The social will be from 1:45pm-3:30pm, with skating scheduled for 2pm.  This event will be rain or shine unless the vendor closes the rink due to severe weather.

The ASCE YMG November social event will be held at the Carolina Hurricanes NHL hockey game vs. the Washington Capitals on Tuesday, November 11th at 7pm. We have reserved 20 tickets for group seating. Tickets will be given out on a first come, first serve basis based on order of RSVP. If additional tickets are needed, we will create a waitlist.

Free breakfast and coffee will be provided before the cleanup!  Breakfast will start at 9:30am, and we will begin to pick up trash around 10:00am. Duration will be ~2.0 hours.

Please wear appropriate clothing for walking through wooded areas and getting into a stream area. Long pants and closed toe shoes are highly recommended. Please plan to bring sunscreen and/or bug spray. The City of Raleigh will provide plastic gloves and trash bags, if you would like any additional protective gear, please bring it! Participants will be required to read and sign a waiver from the City of Raleigh.

ASCE Eastern Branch of NC Younger Members Group and NC One Water Student & Young Professionals Committee are hosting a meetup for the Durham Bulls baseball game on July 26th versus the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp. We have a number of Front Porch Boxes reserved, which are private, outdoor boxes that provide plenty of comfort and space to mingle with the group with half-moon tables with swivel chairs. After the game, stick around for a fireworks show!

We've had a good turnout at this event in previous years, so we're running it back! We will be paying for food/drinks and two or three bays from 6:30-8:30 pm, so we are sending out a survey to determine attendance:

The ASCENC Eastern Branch YMG Group is having a volunteer event with the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina (1924 Capital Boulevard, Raleigh, NC 27604) on Saturday, August 17th, 2024 between 9 am to 12 pm. We still have 8 slots still open for our group (as of 3pm on 2024-08-13) to organize food and goods inside the warehouse, it will be first come first serve and if we fill up early then I will look to reserve more spots for us. After the volunteer shift we will be walking next door to Mordecai Beverage Company to enjoy a well earned drink and maybe some food. We have had really good success with this event in the past and it is a great way to socialize and help contribute to a great cause.
