The YMG Board Nomination Meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Buffalo Brothers. The address is 4025 Lake Boone Trl, Ste 101, Raleigh, NC 27607
You are welcome to attend the meeting even if you are not interested in serving on the Executive Board. The meeting is open to anyone interested in learning more about the available positions, sharing ideas, or getting involved with the YMG in other ways.
Dinner will be provided.

In general, the Executive Board meets four times a year and members are generally expected to participate in chapter events.
Positions:
President-Elect:
The President-Elect will assist and stand in for the President as needed. Otherwise, the President-Elect will support the coordination of efforts with the committees of the YMG. The President-Elect advances to President in the following term (unless he or she is unable).
President:
The President is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all YMG activities with the assistance of the other members of the YMG and Eastern Branch Executive Board; presiding at all meetings of the YMG and/or Executive Board; keeping the Eastern Branch informed of the YMG's activities; representing the YMG at Eastern Branch meetings; ensuring the completion and submission of the YMG Annual Report; and such other duties as are customary and proper for such office. The President or his/her appointee shall be a voting member of the Eastern Branch Board.
Secretary:
The Secretary coordinates the distribution of chapter announcements, keeps meeting minutes, catalogs Board records, and works with the Eastern Branch Secretary to distribute information to the membership.
Treasurer:
The Treasurer prepares the operating budget of the YMG, coordinates with the NC Section and Eastern Branch Treasurer(s), handles expenditures, bills, and receipts for the YMG Chapter, and issues reimbursements. The Treasurer submits this accounting for the YMG at each Executive Board meeting and to the Eastern Branch quarterly.
Volunteer Coordinator:
The Volunteer Coordinator shall work with the President to plan volunteer events for the YMG and Eastern Branch members.
Student Chapter Liaison:
The Student Chapter Liaison shall work with the President to plan events for students in coordination with the YMG and Eastern Branch members. The Student Chapter Liaison shall keep in touch with and assist student chapters at Duke and NC State, as well as any new universities that the YMG affiliates with.
Social Media Coordinator:
The Social Media Coordinator shall manage and maintain the YMG's online presence, including Instagram, LinkedIn, and the YMG website. Responsibilities include creating and scheduling posts, sharing event reminders and updates, updating website content, taking and organizing photos and other media from events, and maintaining consistent and engaging content across all platforms. The Social Media Coordinator shall work with the Secretary and other Board members to gather information and content for social media posts and website updates.
